Matching Load Characteristics
High speed and low torque: choose 2-pole motors, such as air-conditioning fans and high-speed centrifugal pumps, which require fast response but light loads.
Medium-speed balanced load: 4-pole motors are suitable for most general-purpose equipment (e.g. conveyor belts, mixers), balancing efficiency and stability.
Low speed and high torque: 6/8-pole motors are used for heavy-duty starting equipment (e.g. mine elevators, hydraulic presses) to avoid blocking due to excessive loads.
Transmission Mode Adaptation
Direct drive: motor and equipment speed should be strictly the same (e.g. coupling connection), to avoid mechanical loss.
Belt/gear transmission: allow a certain speed difference, but the variable speed ratio should not exceed 3 (such as belt conveyor, gear box)
Balance between efficiency and energy consumption
High-speed motors (2-pole) are more efficient, but easy to heat up with long-term high loads; low-speed motors (6/8-pole) are slightly less efficient, but have longer service life
Frequency-controlled motors can save energy by more than 30% at partial loads, suitable for variable working conditions (e.g. central air-conditioning systems).
Environmental adaptability
Dust/explosion-proof environment: IP55 protection or explosion-proof motors (e.g. YE3 series), suitable for mining screening machines and chemical mixing equipment.
High-temperature/humid environment: F-class insulated motors are required, with forced heat dissipation design (e.g. metallurgical furnace fan)
